I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in the treatment of trauma and trauma related disorders, and I maintain a private practice in Richardson, Texas. I am also now an approved Supervisor. I was the Program director for Colin Ross’ Trauma Program at Timberlawn Hospital in Dallas, Texas from 1998-2002. I completed my student and LPC internships with the Trauma Program from November 1996 through February 1998.
I have over 25 years experience as a therapist, and I work with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and Dissociative Disorders.
In addition to being a prominent trauma therapist, I have delivered hundreds of presentations on the effects of trauma and understanding trauma related diagnoses, as well as a general ethics workshop. I also have a passion for helping other therapists learn to work effectively with trauma survivors and have a second website, www.TraumaCEs.com, dedicated to providing quality trauma-informed continuing education for therapists and other counseling professionals.
I am an interactive, psycho-dynamic therapist. I provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with you to help you build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
